'Rush Hour' director sets next project

LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Director Brett Ratner is developing a movie that will reunite him with his "Rush Hour" producer Michael De Luca, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

The paper said Ratner and De Luca are working on a project known only as the untitled Lisa Schrager pitch. It's described as the story of a group of women in Miami's organized crime scene who devise a plan to take down their boss so they can get ahead in the crime business.

Schrager is a 1990's UCLA film school graduate who has sold several screenplays in Hollywood but has not yet been produced. Ratner, who also directed the 2002 horror hit "Red Dragon," will also produce the new project with his production parter Jay Stern.
