DORSET, England, July 8 (UPI) -- An album with photos of Christopher Robin, son of "Winnie the Pooh" author A.A. Milne, fetched nearly $7,000 at a British auction Thursday.
The family photos of 6-year-old Christopher clutching Winnie the Pooh sold for more than three times their anticipated value at the auction in Dorset, the BBC reported.

The album also contained a number of images of the Milne family at their Cotchford farm near Hartfield, East Sussex, and a photo of actor Leslie Howard in his younger years.
Separately, ink sketches by Pooh illustrator E.H. Shephard featuring the bear and his friends fetched nearly $10,000.
Gary Batt, partner at Dukes Auction House, said the two lots were sold to separate bidders, both based in England.
