NEW YORK, July 8 (UPI) -- U.S. comic and Comedy Central talk show host Jon Stewart and his wife have announced the birth of their first child, Nathan Thomas, it was reported Thursday.
The "Daily Show" host's son was born Saturday in New York, E! Online said.
While word of the birth officially was released Thursday, Tuesday's "Daily Show" guest, Ralph Nader, inadvertently let the news slip on air when he made a reference to Junior, the Web site said.
"Well, that's a super-secret, now we have to kill you," said "Daily Show" correspondent Stephen Colbert, who was subbing for Stewart.
Stewart was back in his usual spot at the anchor desk Wednesday, where he openly talked about the birth, a running joke throughout the show.
Stewart and his wife, graphic designer Tracey Stewart, were married in 2000.
