Poll: Talk radio listeners reveal choices

AUSTIN, Texas, June 30 (UPI) -- Real estate magnate Donald Trump tops a list of U.S. celebrities talk radio listeners would most like to hear, a poll released Wednesday said.

The national poll of 1,000 talk radio listeners conducted by the Benchmark Co. of Austin, Texas, named Trump, star of the recent "The Apprentice" TV show, as the person they'd most like to host a radio talk show.

Rounding out the top 10 were former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Colin Powell, Cable news host Dennis Miller, investor Warren Buffett, President George W. Bush, conservative columnist Ann Coulter, TV host Oprah Winfrey, actor Martin Sheen and Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

Also garnering support were California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Stephanapoulos, Ellen DeGeneres, Meredith Viera, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Jay Leno, Tom Brokaw, Attorney General John Ashcroft, James Carville, and former NBA star Charles Barkley.

Rob Balon, author of the study, called the list "intriguing."
