NEW YORK, June 28 (UPI) -- Starbucks has partnered with Quincy Jones' "We Are the Future" campaign to sell a compilation CD of the charity concert at its North American coffee shops.
The CDs will be available beginning Friday through Aug. 3, with Starbucks pledging 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the CDs to benefit children in war-torn areas worldwide, Billboard reported Monday.
Quincy Jones organized the event in conjunction with Global Forum, a non-profit group that offers assistance and education in war zones.
"The concert that launched 'We Are the Future' is one of the most powerful events I've ever been a part of, and it's a true privilege to have helped it happen," Jones said. "With the support of Starbucks, we are able to offer a recording of this major event to engage music fans and raise awareness for children living in war-ravaged communities."
