Worker accused of stealing JFK items

NEW YORK, June 22 (UPI) -- An employee of Sotheby's auction house in New York has been charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property belonging to John F. Kennedy Jr.

The cable show "Celebrity Justice" reported Tuesday that court papers name Patrick Gallagher, who worked for 20 years as a property mover for Sotheby's, has been accused of taking the items valued at more than $100,000 and trying to sell them for $5,000 to a friend.

Included in the items allegedly stolen were: a Father's Day card made by the former magazine editor of George when he was 2, copies of President John F. Kennedy's inaugural address and a letter from Queen Elizabeth II to the president and first lady.
