COLTS NECK, N.J., June 21 (UPI) -- Bon Jovi's bassist, Alec Jon Such, put cars, furniture, artwork and rock'n'roll memorabilia on sale at a weekend auction in Colts Neck, N.J.
However, the Newark Star-Ledger reported Monday that few people were interested in the sale -- 300 items were sold for a total of $30,000. Last year's auction ended with a $300,000 profit, but sold 1,200 items.
"What a dull crowd," said auctioneer Steve Miranti of Auction Liquidation Services. "I guess there's no Bon Jovi fans out there."
Auction items ran from sterling silver bracelets and Susan B. Anthony coins, to Bon Jovi band dolls, Fender bass guitar played and signed by Such and the 1992 "Keep the Faith" album's double platinum records.
There were even seven pairs of fake-leather "pleather" pants worn by Such on tour and in videos.
The highlight of the day was the 1960 MGA Roadster convertible, which sold for $7,500.
The 52-year-old rocker is divorced and childless and says he doesn't need a lot of stuff at this point in his life.
