LONDON, May 27 (UPI) -- Hollywood stars turned out for the London premiere of "Day After Tomorrow," an event that featured fake snow poured on the throngs of fans.
Co-star Emmy Rossum, who played Gyllenhall's love interest Laura Chapman, also was in the audience as was former "Dawsons Creek" star Katie Holmes and singer Mel C.
"The Day After Tomorrow," about catastrophic climate changes due to global warming, was written and directed by Roland Emmerich, creator of "Independence Day" and "Godzilla."
"I know this will be my last disaster movie," Emmerich said. "This one I think you can really come out and discuss it with friends and say, well, we have to do something or some day something like this could happen."
