NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- Producers announced a panel of judges Tuesday for the 53rd Annual Miss Universe competition that includes Paula Abdul and actress Bo Derek.
Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization, said in New York that the panel will also include "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit edition models Petra Nemcova and Elsa Benitez; "The Apprentice" finalist Kwame Jackson and music producer Emilio Estefan. Rounding out the panel are Proctor & Gamble Cosmetics executive Anne Martin; Miss Universe 1998 Wendy Fitzwilliam; and Jon Tutolo, president of Trump Model Management.
NBC will televise the 53rd Annual Miss Universe live from Quito, Ecuador, on June 1.
The network said the two-hour telecast is expected to attract a global audience of more than 200 million viewers in more than 150 countries.
