Damon and Clooney together again

LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- "Ocean's Twelve" co-stars Matt Damon and George Clooney will work together again in the political thriller "Syriana," Daily Variety reported Tuesday.

Written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, the Warner Bros. project will feature Damon as a financier for the oil interests of a Middle Eastern country and Clooney as a former CIA agent. It's described as a blending of intersecting storylines in the manner of "Traffic" -- the 2000 drug culture movie that won an Oscar for Gaghan's screenplay.

"Syriana" is based on the Robert Baer book "See No Evil: The True Story of a Foot Soldier in the CIA's War on Terrorism."

Damon is due onscreen in July in "The Bourne Supremacy," the follow-up to his 2002 thriller, "The Bourne Identity."
