Grammer: Frasier may get another show

LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer says there is a possibility he might play stuffy psychiatrist Frasier Crane in a third U.S. TV sit-com.

"Frasier," a spin-off of the beloved barroom comedy "Cheers," is set to wrap Thursday after 11 seasons and 31 Emmy Awards.

But Grammer, who has found little success on the big-screen over the years, seems reluctant to leave his alter-ego behind, the BBC reported Wednesday.

"It may be a possibility at some point, I'm not closed to the possibility. It would have to be really good," he said when asked if Frasier might some day return to television.

Grammer also revealed he had discussed the idea with producers at Paramount, but emphasized there were no definite plans.

He went on to say that if he did return to the role, he would want to wait until "the television landscape is appropriately bleak."
