Story is changing for Jackson's accuser

LOS ANGELES, April 19 (UPI) -- Michael Jackson's accuser, reportedly a poor, dying cancer patient, has been seen in recent weeks as a healthy child living in a posh Los Angeles suburb.

When news first surfaced last November of Michael Jackson's alleged molestation of a 14-year-old boy, family friends described the child in desperate need of a kidney transplant living in a such dire accommodations that he did not have a bed, details that seemingly have been reversed, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

Photos obtained by the News, which were shot in January and February, show the boy at a boot-camp-style youth group and at gatherings with friends and family.

The accuser's mother was repeatedly seen driving her 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, valued at $21,000, and the family relocated in January to a condo in Brentwood, an upscale L.A. neighborhood.

Authorities agree that the accuser is in better health.

In court papers dated Jan. 27, Santa Barbara County Sheriff James Anderson said "My investigators have met with (the boy) on two occasions within the last week and found him to appear in excellent health, despite his battle with cancer."
