Law & Order comes to video games

LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- The Law & Order franchise is making the jump from TV to video games, the Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

Legacy Interactive plans to publish two new games, extending the franchise into "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and the game exclusive "Law & Order: Justice Is Served."

Jesse L. Martin will join Jerry Orbach and Elisabeth Rohm in reprising their "Law & Order" characters in "Justice" as Detectives Edward Green, Lennie Briscoe, and assistant district attorney Serena Southerlyn.

Tennis star Patrick McEnroe will also make an appearance as himself.

Making its gaming debut, "Criminal Intent" will star a virtual Vincent D'Onofrio in character as Detective Robert Goren.

Both games will be distributed by Vivendi Universal Games in North America -- "Justice" in the fall and "Criminal Intent" early next year.
