KFC offers Kwame a job

LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 16 (UPI) -- KFC Corp. Friday offered "The Apprentice" runner-up Kwame Jackson a week-long gig as its chief sales officer.

The Kentucky-based company issued a news release saying it wants Jackson to assist KFC with the launch of its new product -- KFC's Oven Roasted chicken.

KFC promised to pay $25,000 and a year's supply of KFC products for the week's worth of work.

In the release, Gregg Dedrick of KFC said it would give "Kwame one last chance to prove to Mr. Trump that he made the wrong decision."

Meanwhile, TV Guide Online reported Friday People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals urged Jackson to reject the offer.

"If you accept it, you will be condoning the systematic torture and exploitation of beautiful, intelligent animals in the name of business," the PETA letter said.

Donald Trump "fired" Jackson from the top-rated NBC reality show Thursday night.
