'The Bachelor' still smarts from lawsuit

LOS ANGELES, April 13 (UPI) -- Bob Guiney from ABC's "The Bachelor" said he is still smarting from the lawsuit the U.S. show's producers brought against him when he promoted his album.

"I never felt so betrayed in my life," Guiney said in Tuesday's New York Post.

"I was under the impression I could release the album in November like I originally planned, but they asked me to wait until Jan. 15 after Meredith (last season's "The Bachelorette") premiered to really promote it on television," Guiney said. "I agreed -- even though it could have really been detrimental to the album."

"The Bachelor" producers sued Guiney upon release of "3 Sides," which Guiney is currently promoting with a 40-city tour, citing a clause in Guiney's contract that bars him from participating in other media outlets or advertisements.

A dismissed the case last month and Guidey said while he is glad the legal ordeal is over, he still hasn't recovered.

"It's like when you chew on an Excedrin -- your headache is gone, but you've got this bitter taste in your mouth," he said.
