ASCAP to honor Metallica, Jackson Browne

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 13 (UPI) -- The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers has announced it will honor Metallica and singer-songwriter Jackson Browne in Beverly Hills.

Metallica and Brown will be recognized for their achievements at the 21st annual Pop Music Awards on May 18.

More than 600 songwriters, recording artists and music industry leaders are expected to gather at the black-tie gala.

Established in 1914, ASCAP is the world's largest performing rights organization, with more than 150,000 active composer, lyricist and music publisher members.
