LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Celebrities including Fifth Dimension singers Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. will help serve nearly 3,000 hot meals Good Friday at the Los Angeles Mission.

The celebrity guest list also includes Enrico Colantoni ("Just Shoot Me"), Scotty Levenworth (7th Heaven) and Courtnee Draper ("The Bold and the Beautiful").

In addition to serving hot meals, the mission will also wash the feet of the homeless -- in keeping with a Christian tradition based on Jesus washing the feet of the disciples the night before he was crucified.

Los Angeles Mission Medical Clinic officials said the program is also intended to help treat foot problems suffered by many of those who live on L.A.'s Skid Row, which the mission calls Hope Central.

Also, more than 2,000 pairs of new shoes will be given to the homeless, donated by sports footwear and apparel manufacturer Etnies.
