Black Sabbath reunion rumors may be true

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) -- Black Sabbath's guitarist says the classic heavy metal band could reunite for Ozzfest 2004, Launch Radio Networks reported.

"As yet, we've not reached a settlement, but there is talk about it," Tony Iommi told Launch.

Rumors of a Black Sabbath reunion at the annual festival headlined by former Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne have been circulating for several weeks, fueled by word that Osbourne reportedly has joined forces with the band's bassist, Geezer Butler.

Rob Halford, singer of the recently-reunited Judas Priest, which is co-headlining this year's Ozzfest with Osbourne, welcomes the idea of a Black Sabbath reunion.

"It's brand new news to me, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it happened," Halford told Launch.

"It just seems like, why wouldn't, why shouldn't it happen? But then, my God, can you imagine Judas Priest and Black Sabbath? It's just too mad to think about."
