Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire to tour

BOSTON, March 27 (UPI) -- Earth, Wind and Fire, along with Chicago, are set to co-headline a 33-U.S.-city tour this summer, announced Clear Channel Entertainment.

Fans of the Chicago-based bands can expect to hear more than three hours of hits during the concert, which will begin and end with both bands playing onstage together. The middle sections will feature full sets from each band.

"This is an incredible show on so many levels. We think this could be the start of an American tradition," Bruce Kapp Sr., vice president of Clear Channel Entertainment Touring said. "Fans will be overwhelmed by the amazing number of hits."

The tour starts June 11 in Dallas, and will end on Aug. 15 in Seattle.

The Grammy-award winning group Chicago has released 28 albums and has toured continually since forming in 1967. It has record sales of 122 million, 20 Top 10 hits, five top albums, five top singles, and five Gold singles.

Since forming in 1969, Earth, Wind & Fire has sold more than 30 million U.S. albums and has won eight Grammies, numerous American Music Awards, and a BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
