'Power players' on 'Jeopardy!'

LOS ANGELES, March 24 (UPI) -- Fifteen leading political and media figures will appear on upcoming episodes of "Jeopardy!," Sony Pictures Television said in Los Angeles Wednesday.

The episodes, part of "Jeopardy! Power Players Week," are scheduled to tape on April 3 in Washington and air the week of April 10.

The roster of high-profile panelists includes Ashleigh Banfield and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC, Maria Bartiromo of CNBC and Tim Russert of NBC. CNN anchors Aaron Brown, Tucker Carlson and Anderson Cooper will also appear.

Gretchen Carlson of CBS, Tavis Smiley of NPR and PBS, and Bob Woodward of Watergate fame will also compete. Other guests include former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer; former White House speechwriter Peggy Noonan; former New Jersey Gov. Christie Todd Whitman; comedian and author Al Franken; and NAACP President Kweisi Mfume.

Each player is guaranteed to come away with $20,000 -- and the winner each day will earn $50,000 -- for the charity of his choice.
