LOS ANGELES, March 18 (UPI) -- Rocker and restaurateur Sammy Hagar is getting ready to open a U.S. version of his Mexico-based Cabo Wabo Cantina in California next month.
The grand opening for the new restaurant/nightclub at Lake Tahoe's Harveys Resort Casino will be the weekend of April 30 through May 2, Billboard.com said Thursday.

The one-time Van Halen singer will perform several shows across the street from Harveys at Harrah's Lake Tahoe's legendary South Shore Room.
The first two nights will feature the artist with his band, the Waboritas, while the final night is billed as "Sammy Hagar & Friends," Billboard.com said.
Hagar opened the original Cabo Wabo Cantina in 1990 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
