NEW YORK, March 16 (UPI) -- Prince sang "Kiss," "Sign O' the Times" and "Let's Go Crazy" to kick off the New York induction ceremony to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In introducing him Monday night, presenter Alicia Keys said: "There are many kings, but there is only one Prince," E! Online reported Tuesday.
Other inductees into the Cleveland museum were Jackson Browne, Bob Seger, ZZ Top, Traffic, the late George Harrison and the Dells.
"I embarked on a journey more fascinating than I could ever imagine, but a word to the wise to the young artists -- without spiritual guidance, too much freedom can lead to spiritual decline," Prince said at the ceremony.
A lifetime achievement award was given to Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone magazine.
Seger performed "Old Time Rock 'N' Roll" and "Turn the Page" with his Silver Bullet Band.
