LOS ANGELES, March 9 (UPI) -- U.S. television and film actress Jennifer Garner has been named ShoWest 2004 Female Star of Tomorrow, ShoWest organizers announced Tuesday.
"Jennifer Garner has already taken the world by storm on the small screen and we can only imagine what great success lies in store as she begins to conquer the excitement and glamour of the silver screen," Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event, said in a statement.
"Her versatility is clearly apparent and her grace, beauty and talent has star quality written all over it," he continued.
The Golden Globe-winning "Alias" star has also acted in the films "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Daredevil," and can next be seen in the big-screen comedy "13 Going on 30."
The ShoWest 2003 Female Star of Tomorrow was "Big Fish" and "Matchstick Men" star Alison Lohman.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, ShoWest is the world's largest motion picture industry convention. The convention will take place later this month in Los Angeles.
