OutKast takes top album Grammy

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- OutKast, whose single "Hey Ya!" was one of the top hits of 2003, took the Album of the Year Grammy in Los Angeles Sunday for "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below."

The Atlanta duo, which came into the awards ceremony with six nominations, also won for Best Rap Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance.

Luther Vandross and Richard Marx won the Grammy for Song of the Year for "Dance with My Father. Vanross won four Grammys overall.

The British band Coldplay won Record of the Year honors for "Clocks." Evanescence won for Best New Artist.

The night's big winner was Beyoncé, who won five Grammys -- tying her with Lauryn Hill, Norah Jones and Alicia Keys for most Grammys won in a single night by a female artist.

Country legands Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, who both died in 2003, won Grammys on Sunday. Johnny Cash won for Best Short Form Music Video for "Hurt." June Carter Cash won for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "Keep on the Sunny Side."
