Miller wants to show human side of pols

NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Comedian Dennis Miller says he wants to reveal the human side of policy-makers on his new CNBC talk show.

"Think of the sturm and drang of being a politician day to day and answering that same question 500 times and thinking, 'God, I wish I could show my stuff, I wish I could show who I am as a human being,'" Miller is quoted saying in the New York Daily News.

When his show debuts Monday night, Miller's first guest will be California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will make an appearance Wednesday.

"People tune in to see what these guys are like when they're not under the microscope of somebody who assumes that they're a hard-hitting journalist," Miller told the newspaper, lauding Comedy Central's "Daily Show" anchor Jon Stewart for creating the model.

Miller said he will kick off each new show with a monologue, then chat with guests or conduct a panel discussion.
