'Angels' takes five Golden Globes

HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- "Angels in America," the mini-series based on a Broadway play about people and a country facing AIDS, took five Golden Globe Awards Sunday.

"Angels" took the best mini-series or television movie award, and also brought a best actress awards for Meryl Streep and best actor award for Al Pacino.

Suporting role awards went to fellow "Angels" cast members Jeffrey Wright and Mary Louise Parker.

Franes Conroy and Anthony Lapaglia won the Golden Globe awards for best actress and actor in a television drama.

Conroy stars in the HBO series, "Six Feet Under." Lapaglia performs in the crime drama "Without a Trace."

The best television drama series went to Fox's "24."
