Adam Sandler lines up new project

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Adam Sandler will star in an upcoming from the same team that wrote the Jim Carrey hit "Bruce Almighty," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Click," based on a screenplay by Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe, is described as the story of a workaholic who gets his hands on a universal remote that allows him to sort of TiVo his life. He can fast forward and rewind at will -- until the remote begins to overrule his choices.

Scheduled to begin shooting in April, "Click" will be Sandler's seventh movie for Sony Pictures Entertainment. He previously starred in "Anger Management," "Big Daddy," "Mr. Deeds" and "Punch-Drunk Love."

His upcoming February release, "50 First Dates," reteams Sandler with "Wedding Singer" co-star Drew Barrymore and "Anger Management" director Peter Segal. Sandler is currently working with Anne Bancroft and Téa Leoni in "Spanglish," with writer-director James L. Brooks.
