NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Singer and sharp dresser Patti LaBelle is launching her own clothing line, which will be sold exclusively on the cable television shopping channel HSN.
"I've always had people complimenting me on how I dress," LaBelle told Billboard.com in an exclusive interview for the Nov. 1 issue. "I thought about launching my own fashion line before, but the timing wasn't right until now."
LaBelle has a three-year contract with New York-based Dream Designs, which has had success with similar celebrity clothing lines on HSN for actresses Susan Lucci and Suzanne Somers.
The singer has final approval of the clothes and will make personal appearances on live HSN broadcasts beginning on Nov. 6, Billboard said.
Prices for the Patti LaBelle clothing line which includes ensembles and separates range from $30 to $200 each. The clothing sizes range from six to 24.
