HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Heidi Klum had the honor to model celebrity jeweler Mouwad's $8 million bra on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and the disgrace to break it, reports said Thursday.
The leggy German supermodel was appearing on the show to promote the stunning Victoria's Secret lingerie when things went wrong.
Klum walked on stage with the bra and panties that cost $3 million hidden under her clothes, the Glasgow Daily Record reported.
Producers had planned for Klum to strip off halfway through the show and reveal the sparkling underwear, but it all went wrong when Klum suddenly looked shocked and announced: "I think my bra has broken."
Her fellow guest, comic Martin Short, and Leno tried discretely to mend the bra's clasp without success.
After a commercial break and with the help of some tape, Klum was able to unveil the pricey design.
The bra features 6,000 stones with a 70-carat Excelsior diamond as the centerpiece.
