NBC mulls mauling impact on series

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- NBC may be rethinking its planned animated series, "Father of the Pride," in light of the weekend's tiger attack on Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy.

Horn, 59, was in critical condition after one of the white tigers in his act seized him by the neck after Horn tapped him on the nose with a microphone.

Zap2It reports NBC has not yet made a decision on whether to go ahead with "Pride," based on a family of white lions in the Siegfried & Roy act. Among the voices slated for the series were John Goodman, Cheryl Hines, Orlando Jones and Carl Reiner.

In a statement, NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker said: "We're just praying for Roy and hoping for a full recovery for him," Zucker says.
