LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Singer-actress Liza Minnelli will guest star in a multi-episode story on Fox's "Arrested Development."
The series revolves around Michael Bluth, played by Jason Bateman, who must help his eccentric family after his father, George Bluth, played by Jeffrey Tambor, is arrested for shifty accounting practices.
Minnelli will portray Lucille Austero known as "Lucille 2," a rich widowed socialite and Bluth nemesis. The Bluth family matriarch, Lucille, is played by Jessica Walter.
The two rivals run into each other at an awards show and Lucille's panic-stricken son Buster, played by Tony Hale, inadvertently flirts with Lucille 2 while not wearing his glasses.
Lucille 2 is flattered by the attention and aggressively pursues Buster with a voice mail campaign.
