Mike Tyson house sold to rapper 50 Cent

FARMINGTON, Conn., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Hip Hopper 50 Cent, Curtis Jackson, has bought Mike Tyson's 61-room Farmington, Conn., mansion for $4.1 million, the New York Daily News reported.

Real estate records indicate that Tyson's initial asking price for the 17-acre property was $25 million. It has 18 bedrooms, 38 bathrooms, four whirlpools, seven kitchens, a waterfall, a boathouse and a 3,500-square-foot disco.

The ex-heavyweight champion bought the house, billed as the largest in Connecticut, in 1996 for $2.7 million but he made improvements, including the installation of a large theater and 1,500-square-foot gym, the News said.

The boxer and his wife, Monica Turner, had tried to sell the house for years, but the former boxer lost the property to Turner in their divorce in January.
