NASHVILLE, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Dixie Chicks, not among the White House's favorite entertainers because of earlier comments, say they have no plans to leave country music.
Seems Chick Martie Maguire told a German news magazine the trio wanted to leave country music for rock. Not so, says co-Chick Natalie Maines who fired back at critics on a variety of topics comically on the group's Web site, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
Maines, writing in the form of a letter, said, in regard to staying with country, "How can you leave a party now when the hosts had shown you to the door six months ago?"
She had advice for Saddam Hussein, told a group of conservatives asking about the plane mishap they survived to not lose hope because "we fly all the time," and turned down Arnold Schwarzenegger who wanted to "verk out" with them.
