Bundchen makes acting debut in 'Taxi'

NEW YORK, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen -- well-known for her work with Victoria's Secret -- will make her acting debut in 20th Century Fox's "Taxi."

Gisele, also well known as the girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, is joining the cast that includes Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon. It began shooting Tuesday.

The movie is an English-language remake of the 1998 French feature.

Also in the film are Jennifer Esposito, Christian Kane, Henry Simmons and Ana Cristina De Oliceira.

The film centers on Queen Latifah's character, Belle, the best taxi driver in New York City, who reluctantly teams with Jimmy Fallon's character, Washburn, the worst driver in the history of the New York Police Department. They team up to bring a Brazilian beauty (Gisele) and her bank-robbing gang to justice.
