NEW YORK, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The New York Yankees made what they hope are their final bullpen moves Tuesday, adding a pair of lefthanders while parting with another.

The first-place Yankees also sent righthander Jeff Weaver to Class A Tampa of the Florida State League. He is 7-9 with a 5.85 ERA and recently was banished to the bullpen with the addition of Jose Contreras.

New York activated Gabe White from the 15-day disabled list and added Felix Heredia to the 25-man roster after claiming him off waivers from Cincinnati on Monday. Lefthander Jesse Orosco, 46, was designated for assignment.

Manager Joe Torre is hoping White and Heredia can fit into a rotation with closer Mariano Rivera, setup man Jeff Nelson and Antonio Osuna.

White, 31, acquired from Cincinnati on July 26 for a player to be named has yet to pitch for the Yanks due to a groin strain.
