War, politics top documentaries

TORONTO, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Political turmoil and war dominate the documentary offerings at the forthcoming Toronto Film Festival, the Hollywood Reporter says.

The festival runs Aug. 27-Sept. 7 and will feature such works as the "Fog of War," Errol Morris' portrait of former U.S. Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, and "The Agronomist," Jonathan Demme's look at Haitian activist Jean Dominique.

"S21, the Khmer Rouge Machine of Death" will make its Canadian premier. The work is an account of genocide in Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge took power.

Filmmakers Kim Bartley and Donnacha O'Briain take a look at the failed Venezuelan coup in the "Revolution Will Not Be Televised" and Albertina Carri examines Argentina's military dictatorship in the "Blonds."
