'Postal' game bests U.S. Postal Service

TUCSON, June 25 (UPI) -- Six years after the United States Postal Service sued the makers of the violent videogame "Postal," the game developer has won in court.

Game developer Running With Scissors says it has been informed the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board has dismissed the postal service's case.

"We're pleased with the ruling," said Vince Desi, Running With Scissors' CEO, "although everyone involved knows we never should have had to fight this frivolous lawsuit in the first place."

"Postal," a game for video game machines, has been banned in more than 10 countries. The Postal Service had objected to the use of the word "postal."
