CATSKILL, N.Y., June 12 (UPI) -- Spike should make life tough for his rival when he moves to the "Buffy" spin-off "Angel" next fall, actor James Marsters said at a New York fan convention.
Asked if he thought Angel and Spike would fight side-by-side to battle evil, James Marsters replied, "I really hope that Spike and Angel don't get along at all."
Noting series creator Joss Whedon pitted the two rehabilitated vampires against each other in the last episode of "Buffy" a few weeks ago, the actor quipped: "I want to make life as tough as possible for Angel and, of course, everyone knows Joss always listens to me."
The 40-year-old California native said he is thrilled to see his character -- who sacrificed his life to save the world in the series finale last month -- resurrected on the spin-off.
Marsters also took the opportunity to dismiss rumors that Spike would return as a human.
"How boring is that?" he asked.
