Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has awarded Northrop Grumman a contract for field and marine repair services for navigation and nautical systems, including task orders already issued for work on two vessels.
The contract, announced Friday by the Department of Defense, is worth more than $30 million under an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, performance based, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, which is a cost-reimbursement deal that could potentially provide Northrop Grumman with additional funds, depending on the fee negotiated before the contract was awarded.
