WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Doss Aviation has received a $290 million contract to perform undergraduate pilot training services for the U.S. Air Force.
Under the contract, the company will provide ground and flying training for the pilots. Courses in the program will cover instruction for combat systems officers and remotely piloted aircraft. International military pilots will also receive training.
The work will be performed in Pueblo, Colo., and is expected to be complete by Jan. 31, 2027.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, the contract award is the result of a competitive acquisition with four offers received, and includes foreign military sales to various other countries.
Doss Aviation received $182,000 in Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds at the time of the award. The 337th Specialized Contracting Squadron in San Antonio, Texas, is listed as the contracting activity.
