NCI continues support for soldier equipment supply

Services company NCI will continue providing logistics support to the U.S. Army for the rapid fielding of equipment.

RESTON, Va., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- NCI Inc. will continue its logistics and fielding support services to equip troops through a U.S. Army Program Executive Office Soldier contract.

The award, valued at $211 million, is a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. It has a one-year base period of performance with four one-year options.

"We are extremely proud to continue our support of the U.S. Army's PEO Soldier Program and expand our effort through this new contract," said Brian J. Clark, NCI's president and CEO. "Our team is uniquely qualified to provide cost-effective and agile services necessary to serve the PEO's mission, as we have for more than 20 years."

U.S. Army Program Executive Office Soldier is responsible for the rapid outfitting of soldiers with equipment.

Under the new contract, NCI will not only continue delivering agile acquisition services, systems engineering and logistics services, it will also provide engineering, quality assurance, test, acquisition, business management, logistics and fielding, operations and administrative support.
