SAIC gets $343M Army contract

MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command has contracted SAIC to provide modeling, simulation, analysis and integration support to warfighters.

The prime contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award. It has a three-year base performance period and two two-year options.

The total ceiling value to Science Applications International Corp. is more than $343 million.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide the Army and other services with advanced capabilities and defense technologies as required for modeling, simulation and analysis, and integration of space and missile defense issues.

SAIC will also help design and build technologies as needed to help the Army combat existing and future space and missile defense challenges.

Additional details weren't disclosed.

SAIC will be one of two companies eligible to compete for future task orders under the award.
