Boeing says it is making progress on the WGS-4 following the integration of the satellite bus and payload module successfully mating the broadband communications technologies with the company's 702 platform.

"With the mating of these modules, all bus and payload equipment for WGS-4 has completed integration and testing," Craig Cooning, Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems vice president and general manager, said in a statement.

"This milestone capped a great year for the WGS program, which included launching two satellites less than eight months apart. The WGS team continues to perform at the highest levels and maintain its strong momentum."
