Successful BMD test supported by Kratos

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc. says the recent joint U.S.-Japan Ballistic Missile Defense tests were supported by its rocket support unit.

U.S. company Kratos says the four successful rocket launches at the Pacific Missile Range Facility received support from the company's Maryland-based Rocket Support Services.

Company officials say the launch of four Aegis Readiness Assessment Vehicle-B rockets, part of an ongoing government and private sector effort, achieved all joint Ballistic Missile Defense mission objectives.

"We are confident that this combined effort, which also leveraged the computational fluid dynamics expertise of Kratos' Digital Fusion business unit, helped to further the objectives of sea-based Ballistic Missile Defense," Dave Carter, Kratos Defense Engineering Solutions executive vice president, said in a statement.
