GlobalSCAPE tech gets Army certification

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- GlobalSCAPE Inc. says its file transfer solution has received a U.S. Army network certification approving the technology for use on the LandWarNet.

U.S. company GlobalSCAPE announced its Enhanced File Transfer Server 6.1 has received the Army Network Technology Command's Certificate of Networthiness.

With the CoN, GlobalSCAPE's Enhanced File Transfer Server 6.1 technology is in compliance with U.S. government security regulations among other requirements and can be used with the Army Enterprise Infostructure including transmitting data over the LandWarNet, a mission critical network for Army brigades in the field.

"We believe there has been pent up demand for Enhanced File Transfer Server within the Defense Department and broader national security markets," Jim Morris, GlobalSCAPE president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"This latest version of our managed file transfer server solution now has the certifications and validations necessary for wider market adoption."
