DRC to evaluate Army training programs

ANDOVER, Mass., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Dynamics Research Corp. seven task orders to provide evaluation services of soldier training programs.

U.S. company DRC was awarded the task orders from the Army Research Institute as part of an ongoing initiative to improve the effectiveness of soldier training.

Under the awards worth a combined value of $2.1 million, DRC will provide the Army Research Institute with evaluations of training courses and materials of the Company Intelligence Support Teams and Brigade Combat Teams among other requirements.

"DRC's 50-plus years of research and development experience will aid the Army Research Institute's efforts to improve soldier's performance and increase unit mission effectiveness," James Regan, DRC's chairman, president, and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"These contracts represent a continued effort between Army Research Institute and DRC to couple emerging training technologies and methodologies with proven best practices for better force preparation and results."
