RA'ANANA, Israel, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Security authorities at the Port of Miami have selected Nice Systems to install its Internet Protocol-based video surveillance technology.
Israel-based Nice systems announced it has been contracted to deliver its NiceVision Net IP video surveillance solution for integration at the Port of Miami.
Security authorities at the port, one of the busiest ports in the United States with more than 4 million cruise passengers and more than 7 million tons of cargo passing through annually, say the NiceVision Net IP surveillance technology is part of an effort to upgrade security at the port from its current analog system.
"The implementation of NiceVision's video surveillance system is another example of how the Port of Miami is implementing cutting-edge technology to strengthen our ability to provide a safe and secure environment for both our port users," Bill Johnson, Port of Miami director, said in a statement.
