Imperium launches next-gen Acoustocam

SILVER SPRING, Md., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. company Imperium Inc. announced the release of its next-generation ultrasound imaging camera technology.

Imperium has launched its upgraded Acoustocam I600 ultrasound imaging technology. The next-generation Acoustocam is designed to offer new imaging capabilities with what officials says is up to five times the clarity.

The Acoustocam technology offers real-time imaging of defects within materials and a variety of internal flaws supporting vessel life-cycle maintenance for the U.S. Navy among other applications.

"The Acoustocam I600 is the latest version of our world-class ultrasound imaging solution, providing users with an even more powerful tool for detecting flaws during routine maintenance, post-accident inspection, and real-time remote monitoring and testing," Bob Lasser, Imperium president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We are committed to our customers and the industry in bringing the industry the most advanced technology available for ultrasound imaging capabilities."
