Navy contracts URS to support NSWC Crane

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted URS Corp. to provide the Naval Surface Warfare Center with program management and engineering support services.

U.S. company and engineering, construction and technical services provider URS was awarded the contract to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in Indiana.

Under the $25 million deal, URS will provide the Naval Surface Warfare Center with program management and engineering along with training support services among other requirements.

"We are honored that the U.S. Navy has selected URS to continue to support critical operations at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division," Randall Wotring, URS EG&G Division president, said in a statement.

"URS is committed to ensuring a high level of operational capability for all of our clients and for our nation's global deterrence and defense systems. We look forward to continuing to aid and ensure the success of Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane and its Technology and Infrastructure Protection Division's mission."
