LANCASTER, Pa., July 29 (UPI) -- Herley Industries Inc. has been contracted to support a U.S. Navy electronic attack aircraft program with a delivery of its integrated microwave assemblies.
Pennsylvania-based Herley says its New England division was awarded the deal from an undisclosed U.S. prime contractor. As part of the approximately $16.4 million contract, Herley New England will deliver an order of its multifunction integrated microwave assemblies technology.
Officials say the integrated microwave assemblies are expected to support a Navy electronic attack aircraft. The order follows a $1.2 million deal in June and a contract from March for Herley's CTI subsidiary to deliver integrated microwave assemblies.
"This $16.4 million award is the largest single award ever received by Herley," Richard Poirier, Herley chief executive officer and president, said in a statement.
"It is the latest in a series of significant orders from this customer for this aircraft; and we look forward to additional annual awards over the next five years."
